My Wide Eyed Boy!

Today Colton came home, tossed his School pictures at me and said, I have to do retakes! I look like a big Dork!!! I opened the envelope and busted out laughing and couldn't stop...partly because of this $30 dollar package of pictures with this face and partly because of the disgusted look he was giving me while I laughed. After I regained my composure, I said " I LOVE IT! (Not what he was expecting) It truly shows his personality and I will be able to look back years from now and remember him just like this and probably have another good laugh. He told me I wasn't allowed to frame it...I haven't had the heart to tell him that this will be the picture that comes out in the yearbook.

I love You my Sweet, Funny, Sensitive, wide eyed Boy!

Storybook Pumpkins....

The week before Halloween, the kids School had a Storybook Pumpkin contest.  Bailey said she wanted to do a Monster University Pumpkin and Colton wanted to do a Duck Dynasty Pumpkin.  . Bailey's was an easy one to do.....we started the project together, but of course I had to do some tweeking here and there.  I CAN'T HELP IT, but Thankfully Bailey didn't mind.

Next up, Colton and his Willie Pumpkin......that one didn't exactly turn out as planned so we painted it red and went with a Tractor Pumpkin which was a little more difficult.

The morning we had to turn the Pumpkins in, we loaded them up and headed to the School.....well let me back up. Once the kids were in the car,  I went to hand Bailey her Pumpkin to hold and when I did, one of his arms and both of his legs came off.  I didn't have time to run back in the house and wait for my hot glue gun to heat up and fix it so we ran to the gas station, I ran in and grabbed some Super Glue, fixed her Pumpkin in the gas station parking lot and off we went.

The Pumpkins displayed in the Library were amazing.  I wish I had pictures of all of them.
Such a GREAT idea and they made fun decorations for the School's library.

Bailey is here to Serve & Protect!

Dear Bailey,

A few days ago, I received an email from your Teacher along with a form for me to sign informing me that you have decided to run for class representative.  We needed to make a campaign poster and you decided on a superhero theme.......but before we started the poster,  you insisted on practicing your superhero face......

and the face that made the cut.......

This morning you were worried that you wouldn't win and we had spent so much time on your poster.
I told you, I didn't care if you win.  The fact that you signed up to run and tried is all I care about.
Always remember, I love you and am proud of you NO MATTER WHAT!

Love,

Mom
