My kiddos go to a Great School! There are so many different reasons why I love TPES, and one of them being the PTA and Parent involvement. Everyone really works hard to make sure that our kids have the best. School Parties are no exception. We had an awesome Party Planner this year and I've really enjoyed seeing her ideas come to life. I thought after the Valentine's Day Party that I was done for the year, but when I got the phone call asking if I could help with the autograph table for the end of the year luau party, I couldn't say no. I really do enjoy pitching in, but I drive myself crazy worrying about every little detail. I started on the autograph books two weeks before the party and didn't finish them up until the night before.
This is 200 out of the 350 I made. I was suppose to make 400, but I ran out of time. Luckily, we didn't run out.
I was suppose to help set up the morning of the Party, but Kinley had other plans.
Needless to say, I was late and by the time I got there, everything was pretty much done.
It wouldn't be a Luau without a little limbo
or a dancing teacher :)
who's class surrounded her and danced along, (Bailey being one of them) How cool is that !
(Did I mention we had an awesome DJ)
There was even a photo booth set up complete with backdrops and props.
I think the adults enjoyed it just as much as the kids did.
(Our third grade Teachers)
All of the kids got to pick out a cup at the end of the Party.
They had a lot of different styles to choose from thanks to Jennifer (the party planner) buying out every dollar store in town. They were a big hit with the kids.
After the Party was over, I was exhausted, but as usual I had procrastinated and hadn't put the Teacher's gifts together yet. I chose to go to bed thinking I would wake up really early the next day and put everything together. I wished I could have made the baskets a little cuter, but I was literally putting the last thing in and putting the ribbon on as the bus was pulling up to the driveway Friday morning.
Here's the only picture I have of the unfinished Sunshine baskets that I had big plans for, but ended up not quite getting them all into place. One of these days, I will learn to be more prepared.
The Kiddos were really excited when they got off of the bus on the last day of School.
I am so glad it's finally Summertime. I was so ready and I know the kids were too.
On a side note....We started out our summer with Bailey nearly burning the kitchen up.
In case you don't know, this is what Macaroni looks like when you forget to add water and put it in the microwave for three minutes.
HAPPY SUMMER!!!!!
